The names of the best teachers of Perm in 2024 have been announced

The absolute winners of the city competition received 500,000 rubles and will represent Perm in the regional stage of "Teacher of the Year".

The Teacher of the Year competition is an annual stage of the All-Russian competition that demonstrates the professional skills of education sector employees. It is an open competition of participants in pedagogical and managerial professionalism, in the ability to reveal the secrets of their skills, reveal the uniqueness of their experience, and demonstrate their individual pedagogical style.

The municipal stage of the Teacher of the Year 2024 competition was completed in Perm. This year, 192 people took part in the qualifying stage of the competition, while 51 teachers made it to the in-person stage.

In the nomination "Teacher" 9 people competed for the title of the best, in the nomination "Preschool teacher" - 10 educators, in the new nomination "Health educator" - 10 teachers, in the category "Class teacher" - 11 teachers, in the nomination "Leader" - 11 people. Teachers and instructors of physical education, biology teachers, pedagogues-psychologists and teachers of additional education took part in the "Health Educator" category.

"For many years Perm education has been rightfully considered one of the best in the country. This has been possible, first of all, thanks to your teaching talent and dedication. It is you who make your students want to work hard and learn new things about the world around them. In all success stories, talented people thank their teachers who helped them to fulfill their potential. Thank you for your daily selfless labour, ideas and love for the benefit of educating our children," said Ekaterina Maltseva, Deputy Mayor of the Perm Administration, at the award ceremony.

In the in-person stage of the Teacher of the Year, the contestants had to conduct a lesson, a master class and other educational activities. The contestants also had to pass non-competitive tests to reveal their pedagogical skills, erudition and personal qualities. The contestants were evaluated by representatives of Perm Pedagogical University and other city institutes, managers and teachers who are winners of professional excellence competitions of previous years.

The absolute winner in the category "Teacher" was Olga Mikhailovna Apanasenko, a teacher of art, history and social studies at School No. 77 with advanced study of English. Natalya Ekimova, a teacher of the kindergarten "Constructor of Success" took the first place in the nomination "Teacher of Preschool Educational Institution". They were awarded the main prizes of the competition - cash prizes from the Mayor of Perm in the amount of 500 thousand rubles.

"It is hard to overestimate the role a teacher plays in a child's life, and I am proud that Perm teachers ignite in children a genuine interest in science and creativity. Attention to innovation and ingenuity are necessary for a teacher to present a fresh perspective on his or her subject, and sensitivity and wisdom to understand the needs and capabilities of their students. It is a serious job that requires dedication and time, so let me thank your loved ones who support you on your journey as a teacher and mentor. We will definitely be rooting for you in the regional competition," emphasized Eduard Sosnin, Mayor of Perm, in his congratulatory message to the winners.

Tatyana Mosyagina, a primary school teacher at The Kamenskikh Brothers Gymnasium No. 4, was recognized as the leader in the Health Educator nomination, which was held for the first time this year. She held a master class, where she taught the children game techniques and teachers - health-saving methods and techniques that can be used in professional work with colleagues, parents, students and in families.

The winner in the nomination "Class Teacher" was Georgiy Vladimirovich Paninykh, class teacher of the 6th grade, school No. 145 with advanced study of economics, English, mathematics, informatics. Anna Valeryevna Knyazeva, head of the kindergarten "Start", was named the winner of the contest in the nomination "Leader".

Special prizes "For Noble Service to Education" were awarded to Natalia Petrovna Stashevskaya, class teacher of the 2nd grade of the EnergoPolis school, and Alena Mikhailovna Zorina, class teacher of the 7th grade of Gymnasium No. 6. The special prize of the children's jury was awarded to Dmitry Sergeyevich Khulapov, teacher of history and social studies at School No. 55 named after G.F. Sivkov, twice Hero of the Soviet Union.
